KAEFER China carries out scaffolding as well as cold and heat insulation for BAYER, the Vietnamese subsidiary is working on the Alcan G3 project and Mexico reports the successful completion of a major contract – insulation on a PET factory.

KAEFER fits cellular glass insulation to Canada’s first liquid gas plant at Canaport LNG.

Global Work was founded as KAEFER’s reaction to the global skilled worker shortage. This Polish subsidiary coordinates the effective allocation of skilled labour within the KAEFER Group worldwide.

More companies are established or acquired: KAEFER expands its shipbuilding expertise with the takeover of G+H Schiffsausbau GmbH. In Britain, a majority stake is acquired in the insulation specialist C&D Industrial Services. KAEFER WANNER Shipbuilding is set up in France, KAEFER Insulation Technology Co. Ltd. in Taiwan, KAEFER Saudi Arabia in Saudi Arabia and KAEFER LLP Kazakhstan in Kazakhstan.

2008: KAEFER acquires ALBRICO Services Ltd. in Canada and integrates it into KAEFER Canada, Inc.

The Group Executive Commitee (GEC) began its work. The members of the GEC are Peter Hoedemaker (Chairman), Jörn M. Fettköter (Vice Chairman), Robert Skrobisz and Philipp Dalheimer.

KAEFER becomes involved in cultural sponsorship as the main sponsor of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, one of the leading and most financially independent chamber orchestras in the world.

KAEFER Integrated Services Australia built the first facility for the pre-insulation of cryogenic pipes for LNG-plants. Such pre-insulated pipes were then used on the Woodside Train 5 project in Karratha where KAEFER Australia has been carrying out (among other services) extensive insulation works since 2006.

The outfitting of the spa and solarium areas on board of the Independence of The Seas, the third vessel from the freedom class cruise ships of the Royal Caribbean International, was carried out by KAEFER Finland. MML Shipbuilding Ltd., a Finish subsidiary of the KAEFER Group, completed various steel and insulation works for the Holiday Dream.

In the United Kingdom, the KAEFER company C&D Industrial Services secured extensive additional orders for E.ON’s Ratcliffe power station. At the Neste Oil biodiesel refinery in Finland, KAEFER Finland supplied and installed thermal and acoustic insulation on pipes and installations.

KAEFER WANNER France used special remote controlled machines for the first time ever in order to remove asbestos from ceilings and floors in one of the tallest office buildings in Paris. KAEFER Aislamientos, Spain, provided the cladding for the biggest combined power plant in Qatar in the Middle East.

Airbus assigned KAEFER Aerospace complete responsibility for the primary insulation of the A380 aircraft. And for the Airbus series A318-A321 (Single Aisle), as well as the A330/A340 (Long Range) the company started manufacturing and supplying additional air conditioning pipes.
